Are you tired of feeding your dog the same old thing that costs a fortune and isn’t even too healthy?

Dog foods can be really expensive and don’t even have too many nutrients to satisfy your dog’s health requirements. Besides, your dog gets bored too!

Imagine one day you’ve your dog waiting for his dinner and you realize BAM! Their food is finished, what are you going to do, send them to sleep hungry?

Nope, as a dog parent — even the imagination will give you the chills you’re never going to want.

What can you feed those loving creatures in any of these situations?

Check out these foods that are healthy, nutritional, and can also work as treats for your pets.

Dishes Can You Feed Your Dog From The Kitchen

1. Boiled Chicken With Rice

Your dog will absolutely love this combination!

Chicken is their favorite food to consume, and when cooked with rice, it’s a wholesome and extremely healthy meal.

Just take one or two pieces of chicken, preferably with bone, and boil it with half a cup of rice.

Cook for some time if you’re using a pot, and for up to 5–6 whistles if you’re using a pressure cooker.

Voila, a dish so simple and yet something that your dog would drool for!

2. Oatmeal & Apple

Dogs can’t leave out something sweet, it’s something like a treat to them.

Both oatmeal and apples are good for their health, since oatmeal has a lot of fiber & minerals, whereas apples are great for their digestive system.

Cook the oatmeal without adding anything, and top it off with some chopped apple.

But always remember to deseed your apples — the seeds possess cyanide, a powerful chemical that acts like slow poison.

Feed this meal to them, but in moderation, only like 1–2 times a month, since oatmeal can cause weight gain.

3. Scrambled/Boiled Eggs & Veggies

Now, this meal is something that won’t even take too much time, and can be cooked with a human meal as well!

Dogs like eggs, and any variant that’s good for them, they’ll definitely eat it. Just cook the eggs, boil veggies such as carrots, broccoli, or corn, put it in their bowl, and taadaaa! It’s all done.

Another advantage of this meal is that you don’t need to always cook veggies, you can just chop them and serve.

It tastes amazing and they’ll always come around to you for this meal.

4. Greek Yogurt, Peanut Butter, and Fruits

Looking for a substitute for the treatos they need throughout the day? Make these for your dog.

It is a recipe that needs the least time to cook, and just a little time to freeze. Simply whip a cup of greek yogurt in a bowl, add 2 spoons of peanut butter, and fruits like blueberries, strawberries, bananas, or pears.

Remember to chop the fruits into thin bites that are able to mix in the rest of the material.

Transfer it to an ice tray or silicone mold and let it sit for 1–2 hours. If it’s a big mold, cut it in cubes, or if it's already separate, serve it as is.

Your dog will behave well the entire day if they get these in return!

Set Up A Routine For Feeding These

Rather than straightaway putting your dogs on a dry packaged food diet, try introducing these meals to their routine one by one.

These can also be used as emergency solutions, but trust me, this diet can do wonders for your dog’s health.

Just like humans, even dogs can’t survive on packaged foods for the rest of their lives, and there's nothing as beneficial as fresh food! It also isn’t too hard on your pockets, unlike the packaged foods.

But don’t force these meals abruptly in your dog’s diet since it might cause digestion issues.

Having these meals thrice or four times a month will be very good — and keeps you relaxed. Adapt this diet for your dog today!
